Douglas M Higby

Douglas M. Higby, Sr., age 70, of Erie, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at home. He was born on January 3, 1951 in Corry, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Allen and Betty Jane (Kerstetter) Higby. Douglas was a barber in Wesleyville and enjoyed watching Star Trek. He is survived by his children, Douglas M. Higby, Jr. and Candace Fitzhugh (Thomas); and grandsons, Preston Higby, Nicholas Fitzhugh and Parker Fitzhugh; also close friends, Michael Daigle and Home 4 You Home Care LLC caregiver, Glenda Deah. Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery.
