Dorothy L (Bateman) Mundaniohl

Dorothy L. (Bateman) Mundaniohl, 80, passed away at home on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

She was born November 26, 1943 a daughter to the late Archie and Martha (Kemling) Bateman.

She was married 58 years to her husband Daniel Sr.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Lovin, Ella Mae Harris and Laura Schultz; brothers, Archie and Charles Bateman.

She will be greatly missed by her family which include her son, Daniel Mundaniohl Jr.; daughters Darleen Hilliard (Bill) and Diane Himelein; sisters Gladys Jones, Nellie Schanz, Martha Buren, Elizabeth Gates and Carole Silvaggi (Vincent "Dan"); 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy lived most of her childhood in Girard. She attended Rice Avenue Union High School. She later moved to North East to live with her sister Laura and graduated from North East High School.

Dorothy worked many years at Port Erie Plastics and following a short retirement she worked as a caregiver, most recently for All In Your Home Care LLC. Dedicated and selfless, she was known for treating everyone she cared for like family. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact.

She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday November 13th from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
