David Howard Wagner

David Howard Wagner, age 73, of North East, PA passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born on September 24, 1950 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Howard Myron and Ruth E. (Crawford) Wagner.

David graduated North East High School and the Erie County Technical School. 

He managed Westgate Farms in North East and in later years became owner and operator of Westgate Farms for over 50 years.

David attended the First Presbyterian Church and the North East Alliance Church in North East.

He enjoyed driving around the North East Community enjoying the Christmas Lights, working the farm with his children and grandchildren, collecting model railroad trains, fishing, playing cards, road trimming, the Philharmonic, Chautauqua Shows, musicals & plays, family gatherings, and of course football.

For many years, David served as President of the Erie County Horticultural Society and was a longtime member of the PA Farm Bureau and past member of the Masonic Lodge of North East.

David is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Dorothy (Schultz) Wagner of North East; children Jeremy Wagner (Bobbie Jo) of Muncy, PA, Jason Wagner of North East, and Jessica L. Albney of North East; brother, Daniel Wagner of Erie; sisters, Jean Marie Selkregg of North East, Pauline Fisher of North East, Gerri Ellsworth (Kent) of North East, and Joan Blackman (Robert) of North East; 4 grandchildren Makayla Albney, McKyle Albney, McCoy Albney, and Ethan Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service at the North East Alliance Church, 81 East Main Street, North East on Saturday December 16th at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the service is Pastor Marvin Hutchison.
