The gates of Heaven opened on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 2:07 p.m. for David B. Stafford of North East.
He was born on July 12, 1951 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Donald and Henrietta (Tuberson) Stafford.
David graduated from Academy High School and was employed by the Erie Streets Department as a truck driver for 35 years until retirement. He was also a great bricklayer and built the home his family resides in since 1989.
He was the hardest working man who loved farming and all his animals. His family was his heart and soul and they were blessed to have him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Brenda Pundt (Richard).
David is survived by his high school sweetheart, Geraldine (Salzello) Stafford whom he married November 6, 1971; sons, Donald Stafford (Becky), Graham Stafford, and Clark Stafford (Carlie); brother, Bill Stafford (Becky); sister, Susan Waters, sister-in-law, Andrea Hardner (Tim); grandchildren, Gabby, Holly, Karrah, Matthew, Cassie, Mila, and Nash; great-granddaughter, Mikah; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday April 6th from 2:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
