David Jonathan Randall

David Jonathan Randall, age 93, of North East, peacefully passed away on Sunday July 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1928 in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania the son of the late Lewis L. and Mabel (Hartley) Randall. David Graduated North East High School in 1947 and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 1970 obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Physics. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. David was formerly employed by General Electric in Pittsfield, MA as a Senior Engineer for 37 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of North East where he served as a Church Trustee, Elder, and Member of Session. David enjoyed playing trombone in the Millcreek Area Community Band. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 44 years, Marjorie Lucille Randall; second wife of 21 years, Martha McGaughey Randall; daughter, Kathleen Randall; brother, Joseph M. Randall; and sisters, Ruth Thomas and Esther Dine. David is survived by his children Jon Randall (Mariane) of Webster, NY, Marjorie Crowe (Jeff) of Randolph, VT, Norma Randall-Myers of Mt. Zion, WV; step-children, Kathleen Luke, Michael McGaughey, Gail Kurre, Tim McGaughey, and Scott McGaughey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of North East. Officiating the service is Rev. Gregg Townsend. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 25 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428.
