Daniel L. Keith, 81, of North East and South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.
He was born on October 25, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Willard and Frances (Burton) Keith.
Dan graduated from Northwestern High School in 1962 and was employed at General Electric as a Welder for several years until retirement.
He was a member of Orchard Beach Assembly, and most recently, of the Huggin Oak Church Of God in South Carolina.
Dan enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and yard work. He was passionate about his faith and family, always selflessly serving everyone around him. He was a quiet, humble leader who role modeled with excellence what Jesus taught:
“The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Matthew 23:11,12
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Melanie Ann Keith.
Dan is survived by his wife of 63 years Dawn Jenkin Keith whom he married December 29, 1962; children; Harold Keith (Joyce), Rev. Troy Keith (Rhonda), Carolynn Kitchen (Paul), Tracy Horvath (Chris), Joel Keith (Joanna), Dale Keith (Nadine), Joseph Keith, and Charity Keith; 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call at the Orchard Beach Assembly Church, 2025 Orchard Beach Road, North East on Thursday September 4th from 4:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery.
