Clarence J. “John” Stockton, age 81, of Girard, formerly of Wattsburg, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence. Clarence was born April 24, 1940, to the late Arthur and Agnes E. Goodemote Stockton in Jamestown, N.Y. Clarence was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He was formerly employed by General Electric as a test maintenance welder from 1964 until his retirement in 1995. He was an active member of the Greenfield Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Donald, Floyd, Durane, Arthur and Earl Stockton and his sister Evaline Stockton. Clarence is survived by his wife Carol J. Coder Stockton, sons Edward A. Stockton of Youngsville, Pa. and Robert Stockton of Warren, Pa. Five grandchildren also survive him. Friends may call on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Greenfield Baptist Church, 9028 Williams Rd., North East, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at the church. Rev. Dan Cass will officiate. Private interment at the Wales Cemertery.
