Christopher John Vereb

Christopher John Vereb, age 45, of Shaker Heights, Ohio and North East, passed away on Monday September 2, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on March 20, 1979 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Michael P. Vereb of Erie and the late Joan Marie (Saluga) Vereb.

Chris graduated from North East High School in 1998 and from the Rochester Institute of Technology earning a degree in Electrical Engineering.

He was currently employed as a Senior Test Automation Engineer at Aclara in Ohio.

Chris loved spending time with his children, family, and music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Marie (Saluga) Vereb.

Chris is survived by his father, Michael P. Vereb of Erie; children, Lucas Vereb and Cassidy Vereb; brothers, Michael S. Vereb (Marie) and Brian Vereb; sister, Jennifer Girts; and nieces and nephews, Julianna, Joelle, CJ, Jacob, Michael John, Gracie, Grant, Stephen, Emilee, Caleb, and Corinne.

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1:00 pm at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church, 50 South Pearl Street, North East. The Rosary will be recited by the St. Gregory Knights of Columbus on Saturday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
