Christine G. Beamish Pruyn, of North East, faithful disciple of and prayer warrior for Jesus Christ went home to be with her Lord on Friday November 14, 2025 at the age of 78.
She was born on June 12, 1947 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Clifford Neal and Bonita DeElla (Rick) Beamish.
Chris graduated Harborcreek High School and was employed by General Electric for 38 years as a coil insulator until retirement.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of North East. Chris took the Bible's command to pray without ceasing to heart if she was aware of a need, she prayed her richest, deepest, most fervent prayer was for all to accept the Lords's gift of salvation. Her friends and family loved her sense of humor and her hilarious tales which included her cats, silly escapades at work, and locking herself out of the house on more then a couple of occasions. Chris will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, serving and witnessing to others, joy found in interior decorating, and creating beautiful art work. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family members who she inspired.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Beamish; brother-in-law, James Moore, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Pam Beamish.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Beamish; sister, Marilyn Moore; step-children, Kathy Blakeslee (Lance) and Mark Pruyn (Sherry); close friend, Judy Baker; and seven step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday November 21st from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of North East, 43 South Lake Street, North East.
