Charles Morrow Obituary

Charles (Chuck) William Morrow, 74, of Erie, passed away at LECOM at Presque Isle, on Thursday, December 9, 2021, with his wife and daughter by his side.  He was born on August 31, 1947 in Rochester, PA, to the late Richard and Flora Morrow, from Aliquippa.

He graduated from Aliquippa High School. He served in the United States Navy as a Communications Specialist. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with Honors, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He was employed with the Social Security Administration as a Claims Representative for his entire career.  He was an extremely active member of the AFGE Union, and acted as an Area Representative, and served as an officer of his local before retirement.

Chuck had been very active in the North East community, from 1979 to 1989, when he and his family lived there.  He was very involved with the Jaycees, and acted as President for several years.  He was also a founding member of the NE Wine Country Harvest Festival, along with his wife, Bonnie.

Chuck loved classic cars and was extremely proud of his 1972 Cadillac Eldorado convertible.  He also adored music and taking long car rides just talking with family and friends. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His unique and contagious laugh, beautiful smile, generous soul, and amazing sense of humor will be remembered by anyone lucky enough to have met him.  His strength of character and unyielding morals are a lesson that will be carried on through his daughter, Kim.

Chuck is survived by his cherished wife, Bonnie (Hopkins) Morrow, whom he adored and loved uncompromisingly.  They recently marked their 52nd Anniversary on November 8th.  He is further survived by his daughter, Kimberly Morrow-Landon and son-in-law, Mark, of Harrisburg. His sister Darla Harmon, of Walkertown, NC will miss him more than words can express.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and youngest sister, Debra Morrow.
