Catherine (Scarfo) Zameroski

Catherine (Scarfo) Zameroski, age 92, of North East, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California.

She was born on February 15, 1931 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Consillia (Minelli) Scarfo.

Catherine was a member of St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church and the Brotherhood of St. Joseph.

She loved spending time with her family on the front porch reminiscing and laughing about old times. Catherine also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Hank) Zameroski; daughter, Nancy Root; and son, Richard Zameroski.

She is survived by her son, Robert Zameroski (Kathy); son-in-law, Clifford Root; grandchildren, Adam Root, Chrissy Hutchinson (Hal), Danielle Doubet, and Kelly Root; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Dominic, Harper, Harrison, Dashiell, and Deveraux; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday February 2 from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Church.
