Carter Masteller

Carter Masteller, age 89, of North East, PA passed away on Sunday November 12th, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born on January 2nd, 1934 in West Chester, PA the son of the late Tone Masteller and Esther (Bloodgood) Masteller Williams.

Carter was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army.

He was a member of the North East V.F.W. Post 4789, North East American Legion Post 105, and East Erie Moose Lodge in Harborcreek.

Carter was employed as a truck driver by several companies for 55 years. He was also formerly a pilot at Moorheadville Airport for several years.

Carter was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Reni Bush; and grandchildren, Eren Bush and Japeth Masteller.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Stephenson (Kirk) of Harborcreek; son, Mike Masteller (Deb) of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Nicole Kiley (Carl) of Littleton, NC, Renee Bennett (Steve) of Moorpark, CA, Robin Ireland (Scott) of Newbury Park, CA, and Megan Espinoza, Kyle Espinoza, and Chase Espinoza; and great-grandchildren, Jake Ireland and Ryan Ireland.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
