Carolyn (Anderson) Rexford, 59, of Erie, Pa., passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her residence. She was born on June 4, 1961 in Erie, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Edward F. and Caroline (Alonge) Anderson. Carolyn graduated from North East High School, Jamestown Business College, and Mercyhurst College obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Carolyn was an elementary school teacher at Holy Family Catholic School and Blessed Sacrament School. She was also employed by the Disabled Veteran’s Solution. She was a member of the St. Peters Cathedral and St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church. She enjoyed genealogy, baking, traveling, and historical colonial reenactments. Carolyn was an avid fan of Winnie the Pooh, and Lucille Ball. She had a passion for teaching and loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Richard T. Rexford whom she married May 31, 2008; a sister, Mary Kay Anderson (Brianna) of Florida; a brother, Edward R. Anderson of North East; uncles, Joseph Alonge (Eleanor) of North East and Frank Alonge (Barbara) of Erie; niece, Rachel Rexford of Erie; sisters-in-law, Louise Wolfram (Charles) of Erie and Carol Rexford; as well as several cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with full Covid-19 safety measures being observed, and are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church.
