Carol Marie (Concilla) Turick

Carol Marie (Concilla) Turick, age 89, of Erie and formerly of North East, passed away on Friday January 5, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born on December 1, 1934 in North East, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph J. and Nancy Marie (Chriest) Concilla.

Carol graduated St. Gregory High School in 1952 and was a member of St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church in North East.

She was formerly employed as a secretary by General Electric and was a dietary aide at Elmwood Presbyterian Lodge.

Carol loved playing Bingo, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren and granddogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Turick, Sr.; and brothers, Joseph J. Concilla, Jr. and Ronald T. Concilla.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Holly Van Volkenburg (fiance´ John Voltz) of Erie and Susan M. Kuhn (James) of Edinboro; son, Robert J. Turick, Jr. (Amy) of Girard; grandchildren, Billy, Kelsey, Dennis, Matthew, David, Kaleigh, Robert, Brett, and Kendra; 4 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday January 9th from 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church.
