Bonita A. "Bonnie" Taylor-Hale, age 77, of North East, peacefully passed away on Sunday March 2, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 31, 1947 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late D. Deloss and Helen (Oblinger) Kocher.
Bonnie graduated from North East High School in 1966 and was a cook at Stack's in North East for 19 years. She was also a self-employed drywall finisher for several years.
She was a member of the North East V.F.W. Post 4789 Ladies Auxiliary and the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
Bonnie's grandchildren and great-grandchildren where everything to her. She enjoyed crocheting, word find puzzles, card games, playing percussion instruments, and dancing. Bonnie will be sadly missed for her laughter, kindness, and light-hearted spirit.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Taylor; brother, John Kocher; and three brother-in-laws.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Lynne Mogel of Illinois, Robi Lynn Taylor Booth (Chris) of North East, and Chad Taylor of North East; siblings, Joanne Scott, Donald Kocher, Carol Rey, Cindy Skladanowski, and Pam Wood; grandchildren, Daniel Taylor of Erie, Katherine Sitter of Pittsburgh, and Hannah Taylor of Fairview; great-grandchildren, Kensley, Madison, and Bailey; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many quality friends she made throughout her lifetime.
Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday March 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home or to the charity of one's choice.
