Betty J. Kimmy of North East, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of 78.
She was born on November 25, 1945 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Estella M. Eades and Ralph H. Eades Sr.
Betty attended North East High School and was a proud resident of North East her entire life. She enjoyed Grapepickers sports especially when watching her grandchildren compete. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses, crafting and attending craft fairs, was an avid Nascar fan, loved music including Elvis Presley, Alabama, and Neil Diamond, and baking her famous cookies and cupcakes for family and friends. Often you could find her enjoying Friday Night Fish Fry at St. Joe’s Club and Sunday supper with her mom and sister at Meeders.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Todd Kimmy (Kim) and Kenneth Kimmy Jr. (Margarita) She was also preceded by her daughter-in-law Kimberly Kimmy (Todd) and her brother-in-law Wayne Brink (Beverly).
She is survived by her two daughters Yvonne Taylor (Mark) and Tammy Kimmy, her daughter-in-law Margarita Kimmy, her brother David Eades (Judy), her sister Beverly Brink (Wayne), and her brother Ralph Eades (Diana). She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Andrew Kimmy (Alyssa), Corey Kimmy, Brent Kimmy (Natashia), Bryan Kimmy, and Bradley Taylor (Jenna). And her great grandchildren Cole Kimmy, Estella Kimmy, Carter Kimmy, Carmyn Kimmy, and Braxton Gaddy.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brevillier Village and The North East Community Nurses for their care and compassion.
Friends and family may call at William D. Elkin Funeral Home , 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm or 6pm to 8pm. A service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11am followed by a procession to the North East Cemetery.
