Betty (Kramer) Elder passed away on August 20, 2025 at Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Clearfield County on December 30, 1940 to the late Frank and Hazel (Sidelinger) Kramer.
Betty graduated from North East High School. She worked at the White Diner in the 60’s and for GECAC as an office manager and Senior Center Director. She loved caring for people especially while working at the Senior Center. After 30 years’ service, she retired from GECAC. She was a long-time member of Lakeview Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Elder; son, Stoney Chapman; sister, Mary Long; brothers, Bob, Ivan and Glen Kramer and granddaughter, Ann Chapman.
Betty is survived by her son, Robert Chapman (Pat); daughter, Robin Quick (David); grandson, Robert Quick (Kayla); granddaughters, Christina Schultz (Israel) and Kristen Prentiss (Matt); great grandchildren; Hallie Gribble, Malaysia Gribble, Hunter Schultz, Max Schultz, Alexis Prentiss and Kendall Quick.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Wiliam D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Ste. 15, Erie, PA 16505. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
