Bernard H Beer

Bernard H. Beer, 82, of North East, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St.Vincent Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1938 in Kane, Pa., the son of the late Albert and Harriett (Greely) Beer. Bernard served in the United States Navy during peacetime and later was employed as an equipment operator in Elk County for several years. Bernard was a member of the North East American Legion Post #105 for 18 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Beer Jr. Bernard is survived by his daughter, Deborah Samec (Chuck) of North East, sons, Raymond Beer (Kelisu) of Erie, Thomas Beer (Shelly) of Wesleyville, sister, Marge Nuhfer of Warren, Pa., grandchildren, Ryan, Devon, Kaylan, and Benton and five great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake St., North East. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery.
