Barbara Holly (Bahl) Manges

Barbara Holly (Bahl) Manges, age 66, of Harborcreek, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born January 20, 1959 in Erie, PA to the late Gustav A. and Hildegarde E. (Hinz) Bahl.

Barbara was a graduate of McDowell High School Class of 1977. She retired on February 1, 2024 as a Trust Assistant from Northwest Bank.

She enjoyed working out at the Y.M.C.A., gardening, home decorating, camping, walking the dogs, and loved spending time with her daughters and husband. Barb was always the first one on and last one off the dance floor. She was referred to as "Mama Manges" to many of her childrens' friends.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mark Manges, whom she married June 29, 1985; daughters Erin Manges (Leah), Emily Manges, and Kelsey Manges; sister, Monica Rosenthal (John); brothers, Erhard Bahl (Veronika) and Yoerg Bahl; 5 granddogs; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to acknowledge the care given to Barb by the staff at both St. Vincent AHN and West Penn Hospital.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and are invited to attend prayer services on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Church, 50 South Pearl Street, North East.
