Barbara (Beatty) Gross

Barbara Beatty Gross, age 93, of Harborcreek passed away on Sunday October 6, 2024, at her residence. She was born November 8, 1930, in North East to the late Hugh and Edna Shubert Beatty.

Barbara was a graduate of North East High School in 1950. She was a clerk at Murphy’s in North East for several years. Also, enjoyed riding in the antique car with her husband Walter. She was a collector of racoon(figurines) and stuffed animals.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Walter Rexford Gross, September 26, 2023, and four brothers and nine sisters. 

Survivors are a daughter, Valerie Peterson (Wayne) of Harborcreek; son Bill Gross (Terri) of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Kyle Peterson, Shawna Backhoff, Corry Gross, Kody Gross, Kirby Gross; great grandchildren, Vanessa Peterson, Kevin Stafford, Jr., Leslie Backhoff, Bryce Gross, and Hadley Gross.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, PA on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow with a graveside service at the North East Cemetery. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
