Allan L.S. Card

Allan L.S. Card, 73, of Wattsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital.  He was born on April 14, 1948 in Norwich, Canada the son of the late Lorne Stanley and Ruth Tharrington (Shoff) Card. After graduating high school, Allan worked in a nickel mine and was later a semi-truck driver for over 25 years. He later owned and operated Lor-Al Farms in Wattsburg, PA with his significant other, Loraine Kirsch. He enjoyed driving tractors, telling jokes, farming, square dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Allen is survived by his significant other, Loraine Kirsch of Wattsburg; sisters, Connie Mason (Bob), Shirley Nunn (Russell) of Ontario; step-daughters, Lisa Goodrich (Robert) of Thurman, Iowa, Rachel Herrmann (Donald) of Greene Township; grandchildren, Lauren Zurick (Mike), Justin Thonton (Caitlyn), Ryan Thornton (Jade), and Parker Goodrich; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Austin, and Alaina. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
