Alexander H. Hannah, age 75, of North East, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 16, 2023. He was born on August 9, 1947 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of the late Carl and Mildred (Bailey) Hannah.
Alexander graduated Tech Memorial High School and later obtained a degree in Christian Ministry. He was formerly employed by General Electric as a Millwright for 30 years and also worked in masonry and construction. Alexander was a member of the North East Christian Missionary Alliance Church where he served as a Church Elder and the Lion's Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and loved the Lord.
Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Hannah; and sisters, Geraldine Vickey, Peggy Ross, Annamae Meyerink, and Donna Hannah.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marilyn (Mantsch) Hannah whom he married August 7, 1965; children, Shirley Torrance (Scott) of North East, April Hannah of Brooklyn, NY, Michael Hannah (Melissa) of Erie, and Steven Hannah (Ramon) of Millcreek; brother, Pastor Jack Hannah (Pat) of North East; sisters, Rose Nuhfer (Ken) of Clarendon,PA and Laura Flasher of Youngsville, PA; grandchildren, Melissa Sines (Matthew), Scott Torrance, Jr. (Camilla), Summer Hannah, Garrett Hannah, Login Hannah, and Pyam Pendleton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Alexander's family would like to acknowledge UPMC Hospice especially Denny and Melonie for their loving care and compassion throughout his illness.
Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 81 East Main Street, North East, PA. Officiating the service is Rev. Marvin Hutchison. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 81 East Main Street, North East, PA 16428.
