Agnes L Huntley

Agnes L. Huntley, age 83, of North East, passed away on Sunday September 22, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born on April 19, 1941 in North East, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Cecil and Helen (Thornton) Huntley.

Agnes graduated North East High School, was a career bookkeeper, and retired from Seaway Manufacturing.

She was a member of St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church and was on the McCord Memorial Library Board of Directors.

Agnes will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend who loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all that loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Anthony (Tony) Gallagher; daughter, Tracy Gallagher-Johnson; brothers, Alton and Howard Huntley; sisters, Shirley Baker and Betty Lou Huntley; nephew, Phillip Huntley, and her most special friend, Jim Mundaniohl.

Agnes is survived by her son Jon Gallagher and his wife Brenda; granddaughters, Peyton and Rory Gallagher all of Atlanta, GA; sister, Esther Northrop of North East; Cousin, Mary Lou Whitmann of North East; several nieces,nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; former husband and father of her children, Charles D. Gallagher Jr.; and her beloved best friend Violet Steinbaugh.

To honor Agnes's life and her gift of spirit family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday September 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church, 50 South Pearl Street, North East.
