My deepest condolences, while I hadn't seen Mr. Kelly in many years I will always value all of the things he taught me in boy scouts. I regret not being able to attend the services but as I no longer reside in the area I won't be able to travel back there at this time.

To the family and friends of Tom Kelly, on behalf of over 75 coaches and over 700 school age trap shooters we send our heartfelt condolences to you all on the passing of our founder Tom. It was his vision and perseverance, he enabled literally thousands of young people to learn and participate in the game of trap shooting. His dream now known as the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League encompasses 28 teams spanning four counties with one county in Pennsylvania. He will be sadly missed by all he came in contact with, and benefitted from his passion and knowledge.

I know I speak for all Chautauqua County sportsmen in saying that we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Tom. Aside from his work with the NRA, Tom was the founder of the Southern Tier High School Trap Shooting League. That was over 20 years ago, and by now there are hundreds, perhaps a few thousand, high school young adults who have been able to participate in trap shooting through several high schools in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. What an achievement, maybe the first of its kind in the entire country! Tom worked selflessly and tirelessly on this project, and everyone involved is thankful for his work. May God bless Tom's family and may God comfort you in your sorrow.
