Music by The Piano Brothers

On October 1, 2021, Christine “Tina” Louise Beebe Batts, age 62, of North East, passed away at UPMC Hamot, with her daughter Amy at her side. She was born in Erie, on June 1, 1959, a daughter of the late Gerald Beebe and Josephine Chimera Abbey Beebe. She was a lifetime resident of North East.

Tina had a simple but full life. She enjoyed bingo, puzzles, her cats Oozzy and Mila, and her Dallas Cowboys, but what she was most passionate about, was her family. She took every opportunity she could to brag, most often to her best friend of more than 50 years, Jan Johnson Miller of Arizona, about her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. If you ask anyone who knew her, the first thing they would tell you about her is that she was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile on her face. That is how Tina lived her life and how she will forever be loved and remembered.

Tina was preceded in death by four brothers: Richard Abbey, Gregory Abbey, Frank Abbey, and Tommie Beebe, and a nephew, William Abbey.

She is survived by her husband and loving partner of 33 years, John “Jack” Maynard Batts; her three daughters: Amy Beebe Parrett (Troy) of Erie, Amanda Wesley (Jason) of North East, and Anna Wesley (Joe) of Lawrence Park; five brothers: William Abbey (Mary), Gerard Abbey, all of Harborcreek, Rodney Beebe (Wife) of Ar- kansas, David Beebe and Jerry Beebe of Erie; one sister: Mary Beebe Phelps (Chris) of North East; 11 grandchildren: Anthony Novakowski, Tyler Parrett, Alexzandra Parsons, Aiden Parsons, Tj Parrett, Izac Babilonia, Audrey Reslink, Sydney Reslink, Dominic Wesley, Avery Wesley, and Calista Lopez; two great-grandsons: Aiden Parsons Jr. and Leandro De Los Rios; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Friends and Family are invited to call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday October 6th 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. with all COVID 19 safety measures in effect.
