Ken E. Vanderhoof, 87, of North East, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 22, 1933 in Warren, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles and Ella (Pratt) Vanderhoof. Ken served in the United States Air Force and was later employed by Welch’s Foods in North East where he worked in maintenance for 44 years. He was a long time member of the Greenfield Baptist Church and enjoyed golfing, tinkering, and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. “Go Browns!” Ken was preceded in death by his son, David Vanderhoof; and a brother, Richard Vanderhoof. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Michaels) Vanderhoof; daughters, Kim Beebe (Brent) of Iowa, Mary Ledergerber of Iowa, Beth Clark (Earl) of Lawrence Park, Stacy Maas (Duane) of Erie, and Lois McClellan (Mace) of Virginia; siblings, Ernest Vanderhoof (Sandy) of Spartansburg, Julia Duncan of Titusville, Gail Vanderhoof (Monica) of Corry, and Sandy Kline (Leo) of Spartansburg; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park Street, North East.
