Laura R. Sensenig, 29, of Ripley, N.Y., went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 6, 2021 after battling cancer for over a year. She was born in Reading, Pa. and was the daughter of Ronald M. and Rosalie F. (Eberly) Sensenig with whom she resided. Laura was a member of the Lakeview Mennonite Church in North East. She served in Honduras for two years, living with and helping the Jonathan Burkholder family whom she loved. She then spent a year as a cook at Shepherds Fold. With an interest in nursing she got her CNA license and worked at the Richland Christian Home. She had a servant heart and loved and cared about people. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Derwin G. Sensenig of Ripley, N.Y.; five sisters, Katrina J. Schlabach (Eric) of Mabank, Texas, Rosalyn B. Sensenig of Ripley, N.Y., Kendra D. Sensing of Beaulaville, N.C., Krystal L. Sensenig, and Andrea L. Sensenig of Ripley, N.Y.; nephew, Alex Schlabach; paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Rhoda M. (Boll) Sensenig; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alvin W. and Kathryn N. (Kurtz) Eberly. Friends may call at the North East Alliance Church, 81 E. Main Street, North East on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the North East Alliance Church. Interment will be held at the Lakeview Mennonite Church, 10995 Smith Road, North East, PA 16428. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. Memorials may be made to the Honduras Mennonite Mission, 719 E. Lincoln Avenue, Myerstown, PA 17067. Please send condolences to

We were so saddened to hear of Laura's passing. I know she was surrounded by lots of love of caring.
