It’s with a sad heart and joyful soul, we announce the parting of our special love Lawrence Grant Delo Jr. whom went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday December 27, 2020 surrounded by his wife, daughter and Pastor Troy. He was born on February 13, 1942 in Erie, Pa. the son of the late Lawrence Grant Delo, Sr. and Edith (Ellis) Delo. Larry was formerly employed by Ridg-U-Rak in North East for 38 years. He loved the Lord and his family. Larry enjoyed baseball and followed the Cleveland Indians all his life, playing cards, and normally winning the game Aggravation against his wife, daughter, and sometimes his son-in-law Dennis every night after dinner.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis and Richard ; sisters, Linda and Sylvia; granddaughter, Linnea Mooney; and a great-grandson, Bryson Rakowski. Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgiana Webber Mooney Delo “George” whom he married December 31, 1981; sons, John Mooney Jr. (Deb) of Arizonia, Michael Mooney (Angie) of Texas, Robert Delo (Amy) of New York; a daughter, Tina Carey (Dennis), whom he and his wife live with in North East Pa.; brothers, Rev. Michael Delo (Donna) of New York and Jefffrey Delo (Mary) of Pa. and sisters, Trudy Rose (Terry) of South Carolina and Debrah Kelly (Mike) of North East, Pa., 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like like to extend their Special Thanks to the Community Nursing Services and the All In Your Home staff of North East for their compassion and professionalism throughout Larry’s illness. Services were held at the Orchard Beach Assembly of God Church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Co-officiating the service was Rev. Troy Keith and Rev. Michael J. Delo. Private interment was held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Orchard Beach Assembly Church; Community Nursing Services of North East; All In Your Home; or the McCord Memorial Library. Sending our deepest sympathy and love to Larry’s family. I have great childhood memories of the whole Delo family living next door to me and have always felt a closeness because I’m living in your childhood home. Rest In Peace dear Larry. You will be missed by all who knew you.
