Charlotte K. (Winter) Bernsley, 89, of North East, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at her residence. She was born on April 21, 1931 in Giessen, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Charlotte (Mohr) Winter. Charlotte was employed by Seneca High School in the cafeteria for 25 years and was also a well known seamstress. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. Charlotte enjoyed animals, gardening, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Bernsley; infant brother, Hubert; and brothers, Werner and Erwin Winter. She is survived by her children, Dale Bernsley of Erie, and Cathy Doolittle (Brent) of North East; grand- children, Rebecca Whitman (Scott) of North East, Steven Bernsley (Jenni) of Erie, Melissa Conway (Ryan) of North East, Katie Rougeux (David) of North East, and Matthew Doolittle of North East; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Nathan, Noah, Charlotte; as well as many nieces and nephews. Private funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. I so remember Charlotte well from her days working in Seneca Cafeteria. Loved her and the other ladies, Shirley and Doris. Made the best bread and was so kind to all.
The family is in my prayers.
