Barry Clinton Slaughenhaupt
Barry Clinton Slaughenhaupt, age 56, of North East,
Greenfield Township, died on Sunday, December 9,
2018, at UPMC Hamot, much to soon. He was born
on December 25, 1961, in Erie, Pa., the son of the late
Donald Slaughenhaupt Sr. and
Anna Jean (Alford) Slaughenhaupt.
Barry was a self-employed
contractor who used his expertise
to create his and Bonnie’s dream
home, where they lived life to the
fullest. Whether it was collecting
cars, attending NASCAR races,
taking long drives, or just relaxing
at home, he enjoyed family and life.
Barry always lived life his way and
was known for taking the long way home and “getting
lost” while finding a new acquisition or discovery
Barry had the gift of gab and always left places with a
new friend. Barry and Bonnie loved traveling, going
on numerous vacations, and were always looking for
their next destination. Barry’s incredible personality
and love of life will be sadly missed by all who knew
him. Barry was taken from us much too soon and had
many more bucket list items he wanted to accomplish,
His family will miss him always.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew,
Raymond; and several aunts and uncles.
Barry is survived by his soul mate and love of his
life, Bonnie Bell; children, Bobbi Lewis (Mark), Brett
Slaughenhaupt, Stephanie Bell, and Brittany Veiger,
all of North East; a brother, Don Slaughenhaupt
(Melinda) of North East; a sister, Holly Boyd of North
East; grandchildren, Adriana Slaughenhaupt, Hunter
Houser, and Abriela Lewis; nephews, Craig Boyd,
Josh Slaughenhaupt (April Phelps), Andrew Slaughenhaupt
(Melissa Smith), Chase Bell, and Clay Bell;
a niece, Vicky Slaughenhaupt; great-nieces, Kayla
Slaughenhaupt and Emily Jo Boyd; extended family,
Marshall and Kay Bell and Robert and Jennifer Bell;
and several cousins.
