Watesah “Tee” (Maginnis) Hutchinson, age 91,
died on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Twinbrook
Health Services. She was born on June 16, 1927 in
Westfield, N.Y., the daughter of the late Donald and
Marien (Goodwill) Maginnis. Tee
was formerly employed as a grill
cook at Lakeview Country Club, the
White Diner, and Fern’s Restaurant
where she was well known for her
pancakes. She was a member of St.
Peters Lutheran Church, a North
East Food Pantry Volunteer, and
enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband
Robert (Bob) L. Hutchinson; an infant son; son,
Lloyd Hutchinson; a grandson, Timothy Mundaniohl;
brothers James and Donald Maginnis.
Tee is survived by her children, Barbara Hutchinson
of Montana, Marianne Phillips (Archie) of North
East, Donald Hutchinson (Sandra) of Harrisburg,
Therese Kaminski (John) of Houston, Texas, and
Margaret Luke of Girard; a sister, Diane Large of
South Carolina; sister-in-laws, Nancy Maginnis of
Ashtabula, Jeanette Hutchinson of Harborcreek, and
Mary Hutchinson of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and
cousins; and a dear friend, Vera Maginnis.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral
Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday
from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and are invited to attend
a funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St.
Peter’s Lutheran Church. Officiating the service is
Rev. Matthew Dennison. Private interment will be at
North East Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Community Nursing
Services of North East, Hospice, 7 Park Street, North
East, PA 16428; or the North East Food Pantry, 30
Bothel Street, North East, PA 16428; or Peters Lutheran
Church, 1500 Freeport Road, North East, PA 16428.
