Ronald James Booser Sr., age 83, of Wattsburg, passed away on Sunday August 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center.  He was born on October 9, 1934 in Erie, PA the son of the late Ray and Ruth (Ackerman) Booser.  Ron graduated Millcreek High School and Westminster College earning a degree in Chemistry. He was formerly employed by IBM as a computer software engineer for several years.  Ron loved to hold hands with his wife of 62 years, Joan Arleen Murray Booser whom he married on September 8th 1956 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East.  He loved to talk and play with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He loved to sing old songs, ride on his tractor, and eat home cooking.  He relished every holiday gathering, playing cards with family, and rooting for bad ball teams.  He loved all 30,634 days he had on earth, and his family and friends wish we could have had one more.  "Those who we hold in our arms for a while, we hold in our hearts forever."  God Bless.  He is survived by his wife Joan, son, Ronald Jr., daughter, Linda, son, Leo and his wife Roxann, son, Jeff and his wife Terri, nine grandchildren and their spouses, and eight great-grandchildren.  Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.  Officiating the service is Fr. Thomas Brooks.  Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Church,136 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428.  Please send condolences to run monday
