Harriet E. Streeper, age 92, of North East since 2003 and formerly of Burlington, MA passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday May 13, 2018 at Erickson's Heritage House.  She was born on July 18, 1925 in Somerville, MA to the late Clarence H. and Mary E. (Melville) McIntosh. After graduating high school, she was employed as a secretary for Penn Oil and then at General Radio in Concord, MA.  After marrying Al, Harriet became a stay at home mother caring for her sons and then her granddaughters.   Harriet enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, solving the daily crossword puzzle, gardening and being with her family and friends. In addition to her husband Albert L. Streeper and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George McIntosh, Melville McIntosh and Dana McIntosh and sisters, Mildred McNamara and Dorothy Reynolds.   Harriet is survived by her sons, David A. Streeper (Kristen) of North East and Dana E. Streeper (Diane) of Sandpoint, Idaho; grandchildren Sarah E. Streeper of Raleigh, NC  and Emily C. Streeper of St. Louis, MO and step grandchildren Forrest Starritt and Caleb Starritt; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 25 W. Main St., North East, PA.   Private interment will be North East Cemetery.   Funeral arrangements are under the care of the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East.
