Floyd (Butch) Ellsworth Bronson, age 61, of North East, peacefully passed away on Monday April 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 13, 1955 in Erie, PA the son of the late Melvin A. Bronson and Carolyn Harman Bronson Moore.  Floyd graduated Harborcreek High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed as a mechanic by Bronson Radiator in Erie.  Floyd was an active member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed working on race cars, attending auctions, and watching the Oakland Raiders.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years Carol Dimperio Bronson whom he married July 8, 1987; maternal mother, Dolores Bronson; children, Melissa Morey, Stacy Morell, and Jeremy Bronson (Theresa) all of North East; a brother, Andrew W. Bronson (Janice) of Carlton, PA; a sister, Debora Lee Hughs of Arkansas; grandchildren, Paige, Brittni, Tyler, Alex, Ben, Bryona, Bradyn, Connor, Junior, Madison, and Brinley; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Braelynn; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Thursday 2-4 and 6:00 pm until time of a funeral service at 8:00 pm.  Officiating the service is Rev. Robert Klecan.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 43 South Lake Street or the Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park Street, North East, PA 16428.  Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
