Franklin "Frank" R. Fisher, age 82, of North East died on Thursday December 24, 2015 at Ball Pavilion.

He was born on August 26, 1933 in Erie, PA to the late William H. and Eva Lord Fisher.

Frank served was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force and retired after 22 years of service.

He earned a degree in Environmental Service from the University of Nebraska and was a supervisor of maintenance for the Erie Post Office for 20 years.

Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 105 and a PA State Commander of the VFW Post 4789.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Dorothy Y. Maille Fisher; sisters, Jennie Scott, Minnie Hall, and Marian Sparling; brothers, Gaylord Fisher, John Fisher, Richard Fisher, Ralph Fisher, Calvin Fisher, Rexford Fisher, Raymond Fisher, Reynolds Fisher and William Fisher.

Frank is survived by sons, Frank Fisher (Jackie) of North East, Jeff L. Fisher of Daytona Beach, FL, Chris Fisher (Jessica) of Wichita, KS; daughter, Cindy L. Fisher (Bob Ross) of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Frank Fisher, Candi Brumbaugh, Courtney Fisher, Jessica, and Megan Ball;  several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Officiating Father Thomas Brooks. Memorials may be made to Soldiers and Sailors Home, 560 E.
