Martan "Marty" R. Kelly, Jr., age 48, of North East, died on Thursday May 29, 2014 at UMPC Hamot.

He was born on November 23, 1965 in Franklin, PA to the late Martan R. Kelly, Sr. and Mary Stanley Exley.

Marty attended Ripley Central School, graduated Seneca High School in 1983, and was currently employed at Card Heating & Air-conditioning as a HVAC technician.

Marty was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of North East where he was currently serving as a church elder and in previous years served as a trustee and played in the church softball league.

He was a past member of Crescent Hose Company in North East for 7 years.

He served as a member of the North East High School PTA where he directed numerous PTA Variety Shows. He also enjoyed coaching many youth through North East Little Gridders, North East Soccer Association, North East Little Wrestlers, & North East Little League.

Marty loved spending time with his family and close friends, working in the yard, playing golf and sitting around the bonfire.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, George A. Exley.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Lisa M. McGerl Kelly whom he married March 3, 1984; his children, Christopher J. Kelly (Jennifer Armbruster), Angela Kelly, and Marissa Kelly all of North East; grandchildren, Landon & Brodie; a brother, Dan Kelly (Patricia) of North East; a sister, Kim Drayer (Kirk) of Erie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous dear friends.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home 65 South Lake Street North East on Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 25 West Main Street, North East.  Officiating Rev. Dr. Gregg Townsend.  Interment North East Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Marissa Kelly Educational Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
