Glen Artlip, age 52, of Maryland, formerly of North East died suddenly on Jan. 3, 2013 at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs, MD, due to a pulmonary embolism.

  

He was born on November 25, 1960 in Erie, PA to the late Gordon Artlip (2012) and Margaret “Peggy” Artlip (1994).

  

Glen graduated from North East High School and Erie County Vo-Tech School in 1979.

  

In the early 1980’s he moved to Maryland and has worked in the sheet metal and construction trades.

  

Glen is survived by his sisters, Linda Morey (Steve) & Pamela Artlip; nephews, Timothy Morey & Chris Rupp; niece, Holly Rupp all of North Carolina.

  

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Monday at 12 noon till time of memorial service at 2 pm at the funeral home.  Officiating Rev. Bob Klecan.  Interment North East Cemetery .  Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street , Erie , PA 16505.  Please send condolences to www.elkinfh.com.

Dear Pam, Chris, Holly, and family,

Although we didn't really know Glen, we do know how hard it is to lose a close loved one. Please remember our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
It's comforting to know that he is with our Lord, the best place to be.
