Arthur E. Strine Sr., 93, of Ripley, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. He was born on May 22, 1927 in York, Pa., the son of the late Eli R. and Helen (Bailey) Strine. Arthur was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the United States Navy. He was employed by Electric Materials as an electrician until retirement. Arthur was a member of the Praise Cathedral Church in North East. Arthur enjoyed camping, music, and played several string instruments. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Luella May (Eddy) Strine; and siblings, Bob, Luther, Harold, Jean, and Dorothy. Arthur is survived by his children, Arthur Strine Jr. (Wendy) of Ripley, Janice Graham (Larry) of Edinboro, Ed Strine of Ripley, Judy Baum (Donald) of Ripley, Marty Strine (Patty) of Ripley; a brother, Carol Strine (Sue) of York, Pa.; 22 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the Praise Cathedral Church of God, Route 89, North East on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Rev. Michael Groves. Interment will be held at Quincy Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1600 Peninsula Dr, Suite 15, Erie, PA 16505.
