Raymond A. Griffith, age 68, of Erie, died on Friday 16, 2018 early in the morning at home.  
He was born on October 15, 1949 the son of the late Russell James and Donna (Early) Griffith.  
Ray was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army and later served in the United States Army Reserve.
He loved to pitch horseshoes and play in pool tournaments. Ray was known for his quick wit and sparkling personality.  He loved all animals especially his dog, Charlie.  
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Russell, Jr. and Albert Griffith; sister, Cheryl Vincent; and mother-in-law, Thora Burns.  
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years whom he married March 21, 1970, Terrie (Burns) Griffith; daughters, Tonya Roberts and Tracie Bruce; brothers, Robert, Eugene, and Ronald Griffith; sisters, Norma Laird (Ed), Joyce Bennett, and Donna Myers (Bob).  Ray also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren Chris Roberts, Lynnette Bruce, and Aiden Bruce; and also several nieces, nephews, and multitude of friends.  Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Thursday from 2:00 pm until time of a memorial service at 5:00 pm with Full Military Honors.  Officiating the service is Rev. Rick Maas.  Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
