Elmer William Rundell, age 87, of Greenfield, Twp., died on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1929 in Erie, PA to the late William Elmer and Dora Hancock Rundell. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. Elmer was formerly employed with Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a crossing watchman and owned and operated a cattle farm in Greenfield Twp. since 1948. He was a member of the North East American Legion Post 105 and enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. Elmer is survived by his children, Ernest Rundell of Brookville, William Rundell of North East, and Cora McGill of Erie; grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Amber, and Ernest, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Connor and Elijah; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday 2:00 pm until time of a funeral service at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Private interment Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the North East American Legion Post 105, 17 S. Mill Street, North East, PA 16428. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
